Fly green with the personal electric aircraft

This breathtaking flying vehicle could be more than just a flight of your fancy. This single seat personal aircraft took flight earlier this year from the British Sywell Aerodrome to boast its ground breaking capacity to fly on electric engines.

This light weight aircraft appears to be an electric plane being propelled by its electric engines. This twin engine flying looker was already tested by the University of Cambridge with a test included 30 minutes of flight time and its top altitude of up to 1 700 feet which will make breathless many unqualified pilots.

The personal electric aircraft features a fixed wing airframe was created by Paul Roberton from University of Cambridge and Paul Dewhurst from Flylight Airsports. This sustainable plain is operated by light weight 10kW brushless electric engines to be powered by 12 lithium polymer cells.

This ecologically friendly electric plane features ultra light propellers constructed from carbon fiber. In addition, there are plans to continue the project to make it more sustainable and with reduced noise levels to finally have an electric monster with a capacity to fly as far as 100 miles on a single charge.
